Grand Canyon: Blue Moon
The afternoon we spent that first day at the Grand Canyon was unbelievable, and that first night even more so. We didn’t plan it, but that first night happened to be a night of a blue moon! One of the rangers had planned a night hike, so we signed up. It was more of a night “walk”, seemingly a lot safer an idea, wouldn’t you say? The sky was pretty clear, and the moon so big and bright by 9pm, walking along the rim, I had a shadow! A shadow at 9pm at night! Crazy! I could see so much of the canyon, and things appeared entirely different in this new light. I played around with a few long exposures, and found that in the first photo that I either captured a wandering tourist, or maybe a ghost of a long gone Pioneer. Wouldn’t it be something if it was the latter?
