Braving the Cold for Winter Portraits

The Red Lion Inn is one of my favorite venues year-round, but there is something extra special about a winter wedding there. From the moment we started portraits, Olivia and Will were up for anything. They laughed their way through the cold, bundled up between photos, and completely embraced the winter atmosphere. Their energy was contagious and made the whole day feel joyful and relaxed.

A Warm and Lively Reception at the Red Lion Inn

After braving the chilly outdoor moments, stepping into the barn for the ceremony felt extra cozy. The space was warm, inviting, and full of that classic New England charm. Guests gathered, “I do’s” were said, glasses clinked, and the celebration quickly turned into an incredible party.

Once the dancing started, the dance floor stayed packed all night. Olivia and Will’s friends and family brought so much energy, and it was the kind of reception where everyone was smiling, laughing, and fully in the moment.

Olivia and Will are truly the sweetest couple, and it was such an honor to document a day filled with so much warmth, love, and fun, even on one of the coldest days of the season.

A Heartfelt Same-Sex Wedding at New England Botanic Garden at Tower Hill

There is something magical about an early September wedding in New England. The soft light, gardens still in bloom, and that first hint of fall in the air create the perfect atmosphere. This same sex wedding at New England Botanic Garden at Tower Hill was the perfect blend of heartfelt and joyful.

From the start, working with these two was effortless. Their connection was natural, grounded, and full of warmth, the kind of love that makes documenting it feel easy. Their ceremony, surrounded by lush greenery and late summer florals, was emotional and deeply personal.

As the sun dipped lower, we wandered the gardens for portraits in the most beautiful golden light. The early September sunset wrapped everything in warmth, and every candid laugh and quiet glance felt completely authentic to who they are.

There are some weddings that replay in my mind over and over and Chris and Dana’s Lighthouse Inn wedding in West Dennis, Massachusetts was exactly that. Chris and Dana are FUN and an absolute joy to be around. From start to finish, these two laughed their way through the day, making their Cape Cod wedding feel easygoing, joyful, and genuinely fun to photograph.

October is one of the most beautiful months for a Cape Cod wedding, and this day delivered in every way. With cool, comfortable air and soft golden light, the Lighthouse Inn grounds were the perfect backdrop, full of that unmistakable coastal charm.

Chris and Dana were surrounded by vendors who truly knocked it out of the park. Every detail felt thoughtful, cohesive, and perfectly suited to the relaxed elegance of a Lighthouse Inn wedding.
This Cape Cod wedding wouldn’t have come together so beautifully without Jyl Deering of Deering Events. As an experienced Cape Cod wedding coordinator, Jyl brought organization, warmth, and a thoughtful approach to every detail. The floral design by J Smith Floral added beautiful texture and color, complementing the coastal setting without overpowering it. Blushing Brides handled hair and makeup flawlessly, creating looks that felt polished, timeless, and completely natural. The celebration stayed lively thanks to Xcel Entertainment, who kept the energy up and the dance floor full well into the evening. And to top it all off, Delicious Desserts delivered treats that were as beautiful as they were genuinely delicious. The perfect sweet ending to an unforgettable day!

From a photography standpoint, the industrial lines, open space and natural light were a dream to work with, as were this amazing couple! It was clear from the start that this wasn’t just a beautiful wedding—it was a joyful, relaxed celebration filled with laughter, emotion, and effortless style. Monica and Sam are one of those couples you feel instantly at ease with. It was so fun and easy photographing their connection throughout the day. 

Monica and Sam assembled an amazing vendor team who truly brought their vision to life. Wedding coordination was flawlessly handled by Deering Events, led by Jyl Deering. Every part of the day flowed effortlessly, from the timeline to the reception transitions. Allowing Monica and Sam to fully enjoy their wedding without stress. The floral design by Petals Farm added color and texture to the industrial space. Lovely greens paired beautifully with the modern venue and Monica’s green dress! Hair and makeup were done by Lyndsay Simon Beauty, creating a look that was polished, and timeless. Monica looked absolutely radiant, and her look photographed beautifully from start to finish.
